UN SACCOS is a savings and loan association for united nations employees. At 2021 select Amala as digitization partner since the previous core banking system didn’t meet their needs. All data from UN SACCOS’ previous system were migrated into Amala core banking includes over 168 members, 150 loans, 168 savings, The client went live on Amala after one month.

After launching on Amala , UN SACCOS have already seen the real benefit of and value of Amala core banking, Mr. Humphrey financial and administrative manager declared “since adopting the system there is a relief; work hours has been reduced due to digitization of all operation includes loan cycle process like loan application, approval, disbursement and segregation of duties, the real meaning of emergence loan is applicable, paperless and improve their day to day operation.
Further members enjoy real time transaction and digital world through Tz UN app which is used by members and enables UN members to view and access their account information, apply loan, anywhere. SMS campaign which is integrated in the system make UN SACCOS to stay close, updated and be informative to their members.
What next?
UN SACCOS are now working with Amala to launch integration with Xero accounting, and integrating with mobile operator Azampay payment in order to enable their members to make repayment, purchase share and deposit saving over their phones and bank accounts NMB and CRDB.
